Sara Futura Karnataka Golf Festival
Karnataka’s largest amateur golf tournament, the “Indo Mim Presents Sara Futura Karnataka Golf Festival powered by Britannia”, with approx. 500 players competing to qualify for the World Amateur Golfers Championship, is set to be staged at the prestigious Karnataka Golf Association in Bangalore from September 12-15, 2019.
In its 11th edition, the tournament will be played in five different handicap categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-24) over four days, in an individual format, with the 5 winners earning a spot in the World Finals to be staged in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, from October 19 to 26, 2019.
The 5 winners of the KGF 2019 will be announced at a gala lunch at KGA, Bangalore on September 15. The gala lunch is one of the most memorable gatherings of golfers anywhere in the country.
The tournament is sanctioned by the Indian Golf Union (IGU). Sanction number is Rules 4-2g/22/2019/ IGU.
Several daily prizes, on course contests and the overall 5 winners with the best net scores from the 5 categories, going to Malaysia to participate in the world finals, makes this event a memorable one!
At the World Finals, the five-member Indian contingent will compete with over 200 amateur golfers from 40 countries over four rounds of competitive golf at 4 different golf courses around Malaysia.
